Summary
By day I've been working for the Government for 9 years and have moved up through a variety of roles:
- static website design and development (HTML, CSS etc.)
- dynamic web site/web application (primarily using ASP)
- senior applications architect (more advanced use of XSLT, SQL, design patterns)
- senior applications advisor (contract support, environment/infrastructure design i.e. servers, firewalls, services, application topology)
- technical business analyst (business/functional requirements, project management, testing)
But by night I've always kept my hands dirty with open source application development, or customisation/deployment. My true area of expertise and pleasure is in web site and web application development with:
- PHP
- Zend Framework
- MySQL
- HTML
- CSS
- Graphic Design
Although I've work with off the shelf products to deliver 'better bang for buck' having experience deploying, and customising:
- Joomla
- WordPress
- Gallery 2
- osCommerce

Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed all milestone will be funded using ELances Escrow prior to any work beginning. Funds can be release from Escrow once you're happy the milestone is satisfactorily complete.
A payment schedule will be proposed/negotiated for each individual project. My preference would be to see the projects investment split across multiple project milestones, although smaller jobs may only have the one final milestone. Having at least one other milestones mid project provides you an opportunity to review the progress.
Larger projects may require an nominal payment at the projects onset, particularly where a significant amount of work is required prior to reaching the first milestone.
