About Me
Profile Type: Individual
Number of Employees: 1
I write articles, reviews, novels, and non-fiction books. I've published articles on many subjects, from the business side of the anime industry, to hobbies for the 50+ age group, to book reviews, to adopting feral cats.
After growing up in a fundamentalist family, I also write on the topic of fundamentalism and its effect on society. I write on the philosophy of world religions as well as on cultural matters.
On the editing side, I'm a stickler for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc, but I also love when a book or article flows well. I am one of those people who wishes she could walk around with a big felt pen, correcting errors on public signs or in newspapers.
During all my editing projects, the greatest benefit apart from producing a well-written manuscript has been learning something about a new subject. I've learned about arboriculture and Surrealism and many other subjects I didn't know anything about.
So I view the editing process as educational for me, as well as beneficial to my clients.

Payment Terms
I work within the client's estimated turnaround time, and frequently bring the project in well before the deadline.
I can be flexible about the stages of payment, and short projects with fairly quick turnaround time work fairly well with full payment upon completion. But for longer projects, I generally prefer an assessment and partial payment at the halfway point of a project (or sooner if it's a long project), with the remainder paid at completion.
