Welcome and thank you for allowing me to introduce myself.
I am probably one of the most experienced IT professionals you are ever likely to meet on Elance. I have worked with computer systems for over 20 years, in Europe and North America; with computer companies large and small; and on projects ranging from a few thousand to a half million dollars.
My experience has been gained across a wide range of applications and industries. As well as providing a well-thought out and technically sound programming job, I also offer ideas, suggestions and improvements into your project.
My focus is on the end user requirements and on what the project is trying to deliver to the business. Delivering the technology is often not enough for me; I need to be sure that the end result is workable, realistic and practical and that the money you spend here delivers real value.
Programming languages and operating systems come and go and I have worked with many different flavors; today I work mostly with .NET and ASP solutions with SQL Server databases.
I have done a lot of work with industrial systems in recent years and as a result I am very comfortable with the technical integration of factory shop floor devices and the technologies used in a production environment. Sharing corporate data with the production shop floor through the use of Bar coding, RFID, serial devices, and wireless technologies.
I am a competent businessman. I have owned, managed and sold two software development companies. I can read and understand a Balance Sheet and an Income Statement and do a good job of managing cash flow on a project.
