Summary
I'm a recent Computer Science graduate with experience in software development for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, both in desktop client and web client/server capacities.
I've made extensive use of PHP 4 and 5, and more recently Ruby on Rails, to develop web applications alongside the MySQL, PostrgeSQL and SQLite databases. To interact with some of these web applications, I've developed RESTful HTTP APis and worked in C#, Objective C and Ruby to create networked GUI client software. I have additional experience in implementing AJAX-based functionality on web front ends, and I'm handy with HTML and CSS, though I'm not a graphic designer.
Though I've yet to work on such a project professionally, I have a keen interest in doing lower-level work in real-time simulation or game development. I also have a hobby of learning more academic languages, such as Scheme, Erlang and Haskell. I have a great passion for programming in general, and I hope it's one that you can put to good use.
