Hi, I'm Steven.
I guess I should tell you about my years of experience (full time web developer since 2003, hobbyist since the 90s), and exceptional talents (hand-coded XHTML and CSS that passes the strict W3C standards), but there's no shortage of experienced, proficient web designers here on Elance.
The thing I most want to share about myself (and what sets me apart) is that I really, really love what I do. I start my mornings by reading up on the latest CSS tricks and Photoshop techniques. If my schedule is free, I spend my time making websites for myself, just for the fun of creating them. I'm deeply passionate about my craft, and I try to bring that excitement and enthusiasm to every project I take on.
The only thing I like more than my work is when other people like my work. I take good communication seriously; clear goals and realistic deadlines make everybody's life easier. Be sure to check out my terms below to get a better idea of how I do business.

Payment Terms
COMMUNICATION
Over the course of a project, it's always helpful to be able to have your requirements and input at my fingertips. For that reason, I strongly prefer Elance's Private Message Board (PMB) system for all communication over the course of a project. I'm available via email, IM, or phone if necessary, but seriously, PMBs are great.
SCHEDULE
I offer conservative, realistic production schedules. Nothing is worse than having an entire project derailed because a too-tight deadline was broken over a single pesky glitch or sick day. Unless you specifically need a "rush job" (i.e. your web designer cracked under pressure, and you need a freelancer to finish the big project before the 9AM meeting tomorrow!) I try to under-promise and over-deliver on schedules.
PAYMENT
I only accept payment through Elance, and I strongly prefer Elance escrow payments -- they'll make life easier for both of us.
I typically request a deposit of 25% to 50% depending on the scope of the project, with the remaining project value to be released as project milestones are met. That said, I try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate my clients' needs, and would be happy to discuss payment terms specific to your project.
FEEDBACK
I like giving and receiving positive feedback. If any part of our project hasn't lived up to your expectations, LET ME KNOW! I take pride in my work, and if something is wrong, give me a chance to make it right.
