Payment Terms
PAYMENT TERMS
Escrow only. Projects must be fully funded before work commences. Payment terms are 50% deposit on signing, balance on completion. Larger projects with fees over $1000 may be subject to additional milestone payments.
Terms may vary per project.
TURNAROUND
Turnaround times naturally depend on the size and complexity of the project. I am fast and efficient, however, and can deliver impeccable work to meet your deadline.

EDITING
This service may include one or both of the following, depending on your needs:
-Line editing (copyediting): grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, word choice, passive voice, style, clarity, format, consistency, and tone
-Substantive editing: structure, organization, repetition, flow, suitability to audience, clarity of purpose
Standard Deliverables for Editing
-Redlined document showing all changes
-Clean copy of final edited document
-Style sheet, if applicable
Default Style Guide: Chicago Manual of Style. If you prefer me to use another guide, or if your organization has its own, please advise before commencement of project.
TRANSLATION: ENGLISH-ITALIAN
We provide precise translations to and from Italian in every genre, including technical, web, sales, and creative. The team consists of both native English (American) and Italian speakers so your text will be translated by a mother-tongue professional. Our work is accurate, meticulous, and grammatically correct, and our rates are competitive. All work is edited and proofread before delivery. We do not use translation engines.
COACHING / EDITING
Have you got a bestseller in your head but somehow it isn't translating to paper? Do you write a sentence or two and then get up to clean the fridge?
Yeah, you need someone to whip you and your book into shape. That's where I, your friendly and supportive coach/editor, come in. You show me what you've got so far and I'll offer a critique, comments, and a task list to get and keep you on track. I won't write the book for you, but I will help you through the process and regularly edit and comment on your drafts until you've got a shiny new book.
This is essentially the same as substantive editing, but is particularly geared toward new writers who need an extra push to get them through the tough bits. Coaching is much more personal and usually requires more time, organization, and communication to get to the final product. Make sure you have Skype.
Please note that due to the personalized nature of this service, it is only offered on an hourly basis, not fixed fee.
PROOFREADING
This service includes the review of previously edited, print-ready text to detect errors that may have been missed in the editing stages (typos, spelling, punctuation, stylistic and grammatical errors), as well as issues that surface during layout (page numbering, headers/footers, bad hyphen breaks, etc.).
REWRITING
This service includes the rewriting of a complete or near-complete body of work in order to improve its style, clarity, grammar, and structure while keeping the author's original content intact. Rewrites are most common for authors who are not native English speakers or those who simply have trouble with grammar.
