As a Project Engineer for the Structures and Transportation Group, I managed the construction and operation of the Locomotive Test Facility. The centerpiece of this facility was a hydraulic test fixture designed to perform loadings on full-sized locomotive frames to evaluate component strength.
I worked extensively with sensors, data acquisition systems, and data analysis software. I also managed other testing activities, both in the laboratory and in the field around the country.
I regularly contributed to proposals in response to federal and commercial solicitations for a variety of contracts. I have written several internal and external publications, including reports, conference presentations, articles, web copy, and procedures.
