Hi, I'm Diane Kightlinger, principal of Eclipse Communications. I founded my company in 1992 to provide writing and editing expertise to business and technology firms. I've succeeded by delivering excellent work, on time and within budget, and am never satisfied unless my clients are.
Education: I hold a bachelor's degree in Geology and master's degrees in Journalism and Environmental Science. I have the background to write about almost any subject -- and the ability to learn quickly.
Experience: I started my writing career as a public relations specialist and magazine editor for an association. Later I became a marketing communications specialist for a college. But I found my calling when I went to work for myself. These days I concentrate on web content, marketing materials, ads and articles.
Web expertise: I was an early adopter of the Internet and have been writing web content since 1994. I attended multimedia classes at Portland State University and keep my web copy skills up-to-date by taking seminars and courses -- and just by browsing the Internet. I also have extensive experience in keyword development, Search Engine Optimization and metadata writing.
Clients: Clients whose names you might know include HP/Agilent Technologies, Xerox, General Motors Research, Barclays, iShares, Samsung, Visa, Allstate, the State of Oregon, the Chicago Tribune, the Washington Post and Discovery Online. Payment Terms
Projects $500 and under -- 50% deposit*, 50% paid within 10 days of project completion.
Projects above $500 -- 25% deposit*, we agree on two milestones for 25% payments, remaining 25% paid within 10 days of project completion.
We will agree to turnaround times before we start the project. I will always meet them; you need to meet them too to ensure your project stays on schedule.
* Deposits ensure I can focus on your project and not on my cash flow.
