Summary
My experience spans over 30 years of professional creative development. My foundation is in the fine arts which then expanded into art education and eventually commercial art and small business development. The years took the usual coarse of upper education into teaching, art director, creative director, agency owner, publisher and even owner of a television cable channel.
Throughout it all - effective representation for the client with proven results is the reputation I am most proud of establishing. Sturgis Bike Week
2003-2008 - Creative Director
As creative director for Sturgis Bike Week (SBW) my responsibilities were wide and
varied. They included, but was not limited to, oversight of an in house art department;
communication and direction of contract artists throughout the world; strategic marketing
at all levels of the organization including print, web, retail and sales.
Managed all communication in our licensing programs; both for SBW as well
as licenses we held with Anheuser-Busch and Universal Studios. New product
development, packaging and off shore manufacturing were directly managed
within my departments. Publishing and promotion including the annual magazine
Sturgis Rally News. Photography needs for all levels of advertising and branding.

A B & E Communications
2000-2004 - Owner
As president and owner of A B & E Communications I launched and created Channel
Seven9 a public access channel. This encompassed all levels of creative, sales and
business development; oversight of video production, editing and content.
Publisher of a companion tabloid magazine called Hills Happenings as well as editor,
creative director and sales manager.

As creative director of an advertising agency I managed a creative/production team at

Freelance desktop publishing and design. Worked with advertising agencies as a freelance
designer I launched a pre-paid phone card business: ACA - A Call Away. I purchased bulk
air time and resold to clients around the country in the form of custom designed calling cards
that were used as a promotional item. I handled all the sales, marketing, design and production.

On the commercial side of my profession I have years of experience managing the needs of clients in their marketing and business development needs. Creative teams within most every discipline have been under my management, but I also carried a share of the development needs.
This includes, but not limited to, conceptual development and implementation at all levels. This incorporates the management of multiple deadlines in all disciplines: Graphic, web, video, photography, branding, new product development and general market penetration. I have years of experience in new product development using off shore manufacturing.
I not only have owned my own publications wearing the hat of editor and creative director; but have also taken publications for others through the process of conceptualizing, creating and then to press.

Payment Terms
As with the eginning of any new client relationship it is a good idea to set up clear lines of communication at the outset. This first phone call will let us get to know each other and what we can expect working together.
After this initial meeting we will establish clear milestones and dates needed for completion. Weekly, or more frequent, updates will be given on Elance, and/or, directly with the client.
If the client is unfamiliar with a particular type of project I will provide as much guidance as needed so the proper result is achieved.
- I require funds to be deposited in Escrow at Elance.
- The first milestone will be a 10% up-front deposit that must be made prior to work beginning.
- The remaining payments will be tied to agreed upon specific milestones with the final 25% due upon completeion.

My goal is never to do a project that is only satisfactory to the client. My goal is to do many, more than satisfactory, projects for the client.
Building long lasting relationships is one of the many pleasures of doing business. I've found that this is done by not only having good lines of communication, and doing good work, but having some fun while we go along this journey.
