A group of 12 self-employed people was formed in Kharkov, (Ukraine), in 1994. Now they comprise the core of our company. The group has successfully implemented many outsourcing projects of various scopes. In 1999, this group formed a company referred to as Nix Solutions Ltd.
Currently there are 196 employees in our company. From time to time, our company also hires people on a contract basis. A number of them varies from 50 to 60 according to the current necessity. These are experts in the project domain and technology, trainers and developers.
Our company staff consists of the technical university graduates. All the experts have bachelor's and master's degree. Some of our employees are engaged in the permanent scientific research in various fields. It helps to maintain a strong academic basis of the company without distracting its staff from project decision-making.

Payment Terms
The company adheres to a flexible price setting policy towards different projects and has its discount system on the basis of project-related factors. They are the following:
- Business domain novelty
- Pilot projects;
- Technologies and platforms novelty;
- Project scope;
- Project budget;
- Related issues.
The following project cost estimations are considered to be basic ones:
- "Fixed price contract" means that a customer has already determined the task and put forward an exact project cost approved by an outsourcer.
- "Development on time & material basis" means that a customer has no clearly determined task. In that case, stages of the task inception, business analysis, requirements accumulation and analysis become necessary. The customer learns an approximate project cost as soon as the task inception stage is completed. Further, the project cost will be specified and by the time the analysis stage starts, a customer will have had the detailed project progress plan and the budget estimate in terms of the system development as well.
- "Personal outsourcing" means that a customer needs a company expert (or a group of experts) in a certain domain (servers administration, products support, design or user's documentation making, system analysis or architecture), or it can even be a team required for the system component development and supervised by customer's managers. In this case, our company calculates service costs depending on the expertise of its employee, his/her skills and working hours required by a particular customer.
An acceptable compromise that would combine these three approaches can be worked out in any case.
