| Job Description: |
Note: This previously posted project now has a higher budget. Webmaster/Music Arranger seeks help in converting an existing free sheet music site to a site with a pay-for-membership component. The site also needs a cleaner, more professional design.
"Free Piano Music!" ( [obscured] /Freebies/freebies.html) is among the first hits when Google searches "piano music", and its Facebook group is approaching 2,000 members. Despite this popularity, visitors contribute only $40. monthly via voluntary donation buttons. Therefore, to increase revenues with a pay-for-membership component, help is sought with:
A. Emarketing strategies: Deciding what benefits should be available for members vs nonmembers. For instance, Should good quality pdf's be only available to members while nonmembers have access to only equivalent gif's? Should certain pieces be available only to members? If so, which pieces? Should a miniature version of the sheet music be visible to nonmembers? Should MIDI audio clips be available to members only? Should new video tutorials for each piece (via Youtube?) be recorded and made available on a members only basis? Deciding on a price for membership Deciding on a membership renewal interval (yearly?)
B. Technical work in Web design and HTML/CSS coding Writing HTML/CSS code for the members only component: restricting areas or downloads accessible to members only billing for membership fees (Paypal integration) password recognition and security Designing a cleaner, more professional looking web page with more extensive use of CSS than presently used.
C. Stipulations and design constraints: The graphic of the smiling pianist and the Webmaster/Arranger's logo must be prominent on each page. The name, "Free Piano Music" must be kept. Therefore some parts of the site must remain free. How much is to remain free is a matter to be discussed with the service provider. Upon completion of the project the present Webmaster must be taught how to maintain the site. Ongoing consultation about site maintenance should be available for a year. |
