Bidder Comments : Let us begin - I love that. First, I'd like to know if you are envisioning an entirely custom application or one that leverages a software platform?

I own a 14 year old development firm in Atlanta, and I know we can help you. Your budget suggests to me that you're serious about your project and understand that an underfunded project is usually an incomplete project.

All of the work we do starts with a Planning phase, followed by Development. This allows us to define the scope of work, develop architecture, compile requirements, create wireframes and interface and document functional specs. At the conclusion of the Planning phase we will re-estimate the project based on a defined scope of work and with your approval move into Development.

As you might imagine, we need details. So far your project sounds do-able. If you're concerned about a custom, home-grown application then I would like to suggest that you consider leveraging a platform like Ektron. It has a license fee.

Additionally, I am assuming your application could benefit from a rich interface. So I'd also like you to consider Adobe Flex on the front-end. If you're keen to have a modern app that behaves much like a desktop application, then Flex is a nice fit. It'll work nicely with .Net and because Flex is a Flash application you bypass a lot of the headaches often associated with "2.0" type applications. Dominos sites uses Flash.

Given .Net & SQL requirements, I'd say we're a good fit not just because of these technical skills, but because we have ideas to share and experience to lend.

I would approach this project in 2 parts. Planning phase $20-$25k. and then approx. $50k-$60k for Development. I'm assuming a 'sexy' flash interface tha displays and interacts with the back-end data. I know you'll have questions, so please let me know next steps.
