We have no idea why our competitors have sent you a proposal with quotes of $1000 to $2000 when it is impossible to complete such a task at this price. Might be they have misunderstood the project.

Bidder Comments : As I read it you have already edited the first of several similar videos, and want to have a consistent but distinct look for the intro of each new community promo piece... and that in each case you will provide vector art which I will be responsible for adapting to the needs of video and incorporating in the ways you describe ... with creativity but sensitivity to the audience.
Based on those criteria, it seems best to me to quote "per community".
While I am learning what styles you prefer, I would quote $1000. including the delivery of the the first 10-second animation, the photoshop/illustrator work that may be needed on the logo, the creation of a "bug" logo for overlaying on the video at your end and a "lower thirds" graphic framework; and then two revisions to get it finally approved and posted on my FTP site.
I would like an opportunity to revise the quote for additional community intros after we work together on the first one; assuming you are delighted with my work we'll be able to know precisely how long each one will take from that point forward; It seems reasonable that we could shave 20 to 40 percent off whatever the first one took to get right.
I work in Motion and Final Cut Pro, with two complete high-def systems and plenty of storage space. If you need video editing I can do it on an hourly or project basis.

The history segments in the first third, and especially the future segment which precedes the ending segment, display a wide variety of text and image Motion techniques integrated with video.
