Besides writing, I have a pretty big appetite for gaming (which I'm sure you know complicates one's choice of laptop, as well as the ambiguous list of reasons I have to give to my employer to justify an expensive top-notch graphics card for a laptop merely intended for legal drafting). That being said, I can definitely appreciate the need to weigh the pro's and con's of a variety of laptops to get the specifications I need without having to sacrafice the raw power of the CPU or the graphics capabilitiesi
