Achievement of "Certified for SAP NetWeaver®" status accelerates adoption of Elance Services and Contractor Management; promises faster deployment and accelerated savings with the Elance solution.

(www.elance.com), the leading provider of e-commerce solutions for services, today announced that the Elance Services and Contractor Management solution has attained "Certified for SAP NetWeaver®" status from SAP for its integration with the SAP NetWeaver open integration and application platform. The achievement helps assure Elance's customers that they can rely on high-quality, pre-tested integration as they push to standardize and expand their Elance deployments in conjunction with SAP solutions.

The Elance solution for services and contractor management helps businesses find, evaluate, purchase, manage and pay for third-party services and contractors, yielding savings of up to twenty percent, ensuring compliance with key processes and labor laws, and monitoring and improving supplier performance.  Customers use Elance to automate their purchase of key services categories, including contingent staff, consulting, marketing services, print services, and operations.  Customers routinely require integration of enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications with their Elance solution to automate core payment and user management processes.

To achieve this certification, Elance integrated the Services and Contractor Management solution with the SAP Enterprise Portal and SAP NetWeaver via an SAP Enterprise Portal Business Package for Services Supply Management.  As a result, customers can now enjoy single-sign-on, centralized user and role management, and a common interface into the Elance system.  This new certification augments Elance's standard integration approach with SAP ERP applications which automates the purchase request, order and invoicing process for services purchases.  Together, these integration points provide the proper foundation for enterprises looking to obtain the best in class services and contractor management application, fully integrated with their ERP infrastructure.
