Can I use PayPal at Elance?
PayPal is a supported payment method in Elance.
Buyers
Make Payments
As a buyer, you may use PayPal to make payments to the provider or fund an escrow project by selecting PayPal as the payment method when making payments through the Elance system. You do NOT need to know the provider's PayPal account information in order to make the payment.
All PayPal payments must be made through the Elance system. It is against the Elance Terms of Service to pay providers outside of the Elance system.
Providers:
Receive PayPal Payments
As an Elance provider, you will be able to receive payments from buyers using PayPal on all projects. The buyer's PayPal payments will be deposited into your Elance account. You do NOT need to have a PayPal account to accept the buyer's PayPal payment and you will NOT incur any PayPal fees for such payments. All PayPal payments will be reflected in your Elance transaction history.You will continue to invoice the buyer through the Elance system regardless of the buyer's payment method. All PayPal payments must be made through the Elance system. It is against the Elance Terms of Service to receive payments outside of the Elance system.
Purchase a membership
Providers may use their PayPal account to purchase a membership. For instructions on how to change your membership payment method, click here.
Withdraw to a PayPal Account

Pay other Elance fees
You may use your PayPal account to pay other Elance fees, such as a project fee.
