How do I withdraw funds if I am outside of the U.S.?

Service providers outside of the U.S. can use Elance's convenient Payment Service to withdraw their funds via wire transfer, Payoneer or PayPal.

Note: Canadian users can also withdraw via check.

Withdrawal by Wire Transfer:

Each Elance Account will be given one complimentary wire transfer withdrawal per calendar month (ie, one complimentary wire transfer withdrawal any day within the month of January, then one complimentary wire transfer withdrawal any day within the month of February, etc.).  Any additional wire transfer withdrawal will be charged a $25.00 processing fee, which will be deducted from your MyElance Account's available balance prior to any amount being wire transferred.  The $25.00 Wire Transfer Processing Fee will be displayed on your Transaction History as a separate line item.

1. Log in to the MyElance Main Menu.

If you are not logged in, enter your Elance username and password.

2.  Click on the 'My Account' link in the left menu column.

3.  Click on the 'Enter New Bank Account' button (if you have not done so before).  Enter your banking information.

You will be prompted to provide your wire transfer bank information the first time you authorize a wire transfer. You will have to contact your bank for information on authorizing a wire transfer to your bank (ie, provide the appropriate bank identification code). Depending on your location, you may also need to enter intermediary bank information in order to process your wire transfer. Please contact your local bank to be sure that all of this information is accurate so that your funds are transferred successfully.

4.  Back on the 'My Account' page, click on the  'Withdraw Funds' button.

5.  Enter in your dollar amount, and in the pull-down menu, choose your bank account. As a reminder, your intermediary and beneficiary banks may charge you a wire transfer fee.  Generally you should allow 10 days for a wire transfer to your bank, though some banks in some countries may take longer. Note: For certain countries, such as India and Pakistan, please allow 4 weeks before receiving a wire transfer.

Withdrawal by Payoneer (Elance Prepaid MasterCard)

Elance currently offers a Prepaid MasterCard through Payoneer. You may withdraw your available balance to your Elance Prepaid Mastercard . For more information on how to apply for an Elance Prepaid MasterCard, click here.

1. Go to MyElance. If you are not logged in, enter your Elance username and password.

2.  Click on the 'My Account' link in the left menu column.

3.  Click the Withdraw Funds button and choose your Elance Prepaid MasterCard  from the withdrawal method drop down list.

4.  Preview your withdrawal request and click the "submit" button to confirm your withdrawal

Note: there is a $20 withdrawal minimum

Withdrawal by PayPal

1. Go to MyElance. If you are not logged in, enter your Elance username and password.

2.  Click on the 'My Account' link in the left menu column.

3.  Click the Withdraw Funds button and choose your PayPal email address from the withdrawal method drop down list.

4.  Preview your withdrawal request and click the "submit" button to confirm your withdrawal

Note: Your PayPal email address must be entered into your MyElance Account Detail page prior to requesting a withdrawal of funds. If you would like to add your PayPal account details to your MyElance Account Detail page, then you may do so by clicking the button "Enter New PayPal Acct". You will be required to log into your PayPal account as verification of account details.
