Can I submit proposals with a Free Basic Membership Plan?

Yes, you have a limited number of Connects as a service provider on Elance’s free Basic Membership Plan.

There are two types of Basic plans: Individual Basic and Business Basic.  You start off with a free listing in Elance's directory of professional service providers.  This includes your individual or business profile, where you enter a marketing message about the services you offer, business contact information, relevant experience, and upload a portfolio of your best sample work.  You may later upgrade to one of Elance's paid memberships in order to receive more Connects, allowing you to submit more proposals on projects and receive potential buyer phone calls and chats.

You can upgrade to a paid membership anytime in the future.
