How do I pay the Project Fee?

Service providers are charged a project fee when they accept an awarded project.  Buyers are not charged.

A project fee can be paid in the following ways:

    * When a buyer sends payment through the Billing and Payment System. The project fee will be automatically deducted from the payment before the remaining funds are deposited into your Elance Account.  You do not have to worry about paying the project fee in these cases.
    * From funds in your Elance Account. You can manually pay the fee within 45 days of the invoice date, if you have sufficient funds in your Account.
    * From an existing credit card. If you have a credit card on file, you can use it to pay the fee within 45 days of the invoice date. (If you are using a credit card to pay project fees, you do NOT need to authenticate the credit card.)

1. Log in to the MyElance Main Menu.

If you are not logged in, enter your Elance username and password.

2. Click on the 'My Account' > 'Scheduled Trans' link in the left navigation menu.

3. Click the 'Pay Now' link next to a project fee.
