Every week, hundreds of new Elance providers are hired for their first projects. We’d like you to meet one of them, Sharon Thompson (username: allamericangal) – a California-based freelance designer with over 20 years of experience in the graphic design industry.



Sharon has an impressive background in business and graphic design. She is a small business owner, having founded, Sharon Thompson Design Studio, in 1989, and has an extensive portfolio of logos, illustrations and photos.

Freelancing for almost her entire career, Sharon joined Elance based on the recommendation of a client. “My client told me Elance was my opportunity to take my business global – with support,” Sharon explained.

Sharon is always in search of new clients with the type of vision and mission that compliments her own, and can easily find that on Elance.

“My work is very emotive, and it has a lot of organic movement to it. My process lends itself to a certain type of vision and mission,” said Sharon. “That’s what I love about Elance – it gives me an opportunity to read the description of the work requested, allowing me to prequalify as to whether or not the project is a good match for me and whether or not I’m a good match for the client,” said Sharon.

Sharon recommends every new Elance provider view the Elance University videos. “They really set you up for success,” said Sharon.
