Under Lance's direction, the New Mexico Department of Tourism recognized New Mexico State Parks as the largest tourism draw in New Mexico, with all 32 parks ranked in the top 100 tourism destinations. Despite severe drought and fire conditions, parks visitation and revenues continued to improve as a direct result of his highly effective media, marketing and advertising campaigns.
