Service Description
I've been writing for a living since 2007 though my writing experience goes many years beyond this in the form of unpaid writing work, and writing for pleasure.
I was born, raised and educated in England and lived there up until 2007 when I emigrated to British Columbia in Canada, and haven't looked back since!
With a love for all things travel related, a degree in Tourism Management, and experience working in the tourism industry, I am first and foremost a travel writer. Travel writing is where I excel, though there are many other areas of writing in which I shine too!
Having spent almost a decade running an IT consultancy with my husband I also have an interest in small business issues and marketing, and have written all of the web content and marketing and promotional material for the company during this period.
Since 2006 I have been a semi-regular contributor to a British publication called 'Emigrate Canada' for which I shared our emigration story. In January 2009, the newspaper became a glossy magazine, titled Emigrate, and I was asked to write a story about a fellow British emigrant for this flagship issue. I have also been published in two Canadian magazines - one called 'Thrive' which is the magazine for a resort style community in Kamloops, and the other for 'Construction - The Magazine' - both can be seen in my Portfolio.
