Phoenix Research and Designs created in 2004 by Pamela Coleman Nye, C.A. Beginning her archives career at the Georgia Archives in 1991 as a volunteer, she worked her way up through the ranks to become a Senior Archivist. She has worked extensively as a reference archivist, and has experience in cataloging as well as processing collections. In 2001, she was given a new title and responsibilities as Public Programs Coordinator, and was part of the move of the Georgia Archives from downtown Atlanta to the City of Morrow, Georgia. Among her many duties were maintaining the official web site, creating press releases and articles for newsletters, designing publications, conducting tours, and giving lectures.
She resigned her position from the Georgia Archives in December 2003 in order to focus more on her growing family. Recognizing a need for qualified archives professionals for contract and grant projects, she decided to fill that need by creating her own consulting company. She is an active member of the Society of Georgia Archivists, the Society of American Archivists, the Georgia Genealogical Socity, and the Association of Professional Genealogists. In 2005 she became a Certified Archivist.
In addition to her years of archives experience, she is also offering her talents as a publication and web site designer, a lecturer, and a genealogical and historical researcher.
