Unity 3D level design for awesome Mage / Wizard battles
The levels needs to come ready to use in Unity 3D, playable on PC or tablet sized mobiles.
This is art design for NeuroMage, an exciting new indie game that will be showcased on a panel at the 2015 Neurogaming conference in May.

This is a very creative project and I'm looking for someone or a team that specializes in surreal 3d art models and dark foreboding scenes. As you can see from the trailer we already have a level design we have created using some high quality assets. This project is to create high quality exclusive assets for NeuroMage. But please use the same art style and design as what you see in the trailer. We intend to use the level you see in the trailer, therefore the level you create must fit in with the art style you see there.
We need from this project at least one level and would like to find a designer that could commit to 2-3 levels.
Each scene involves a battle between two Mages or Wizards.
The trailer gives you kind of idea of the battle between the two mages. In the game, there is one mage on one side and another mage on the other side. The mages throw spells at each other until one of them wins.
In addition, and important to the level design... each mage can conjure minions to send out and attack the other side. Between the two mages should be a tower defense style landscape that the minions must move through to make it to the other side and attack the base of their opponent. Therefore you should include good positions for the minions to spawn and for tower placement as part of the level design. For the style of this game we don't intend to let the player pick any location to put the tower... there should be pre-designated locations where the towers can be placed.
I'm looking for an artist or team of artists that wish to build the environments these battles will take place in. Each environment should be unique and varied. Think "Night on Bald Mountain" playing in the background as two wizards hurl spells at each other across nearly impassible terrain. Yet we want enough passage that creatures can make their way through the 'forest', dessert,' lava pits', a small village in the center, or other obstacles to eventually confront the other side. There are a few more details that will not add significantly to the scope of the project that we will share once we narrow down the field of candidates.
In the game, the mage learns spells and The mage will be able to spawn a few dozen creatures from each of their sides.... These creatures need a path to eventually break through and get to the other mage... but the path needs to appear treacherous. So I'd want a terrain in which a navmesh can be applied and I ask that as part of this the level comes ready for the navmesh to be baked and traversed by minions.
All of the assets must be unique and exclusive for this game. I retain all rights to the assets to resell or reuse in other games or in the asset store on Unity3d.com.
I'm most considering those who can provide me examples of the asset I'm describing or even perhaps some mockups, proof of previous game design experience, and excited about this project.
As you can see we have a real opportunity in May to showcase a great game. We would want beta playable levels by early April so we can incorporate them into the game for testing. By May 1st, we would want at least two high quality levels in polished format to demonstrate at the conference.
This is a project that is guaranteed to get noticed and will be a great addition to the portfolio of any artist.
