Need a Clean Running Server on the Amazon EC2 Platform
I am working on a project for a web-based application. The code for the application itself is solid, as is the design and so forth.
The server, on the other hand, is a mess. The project is currently running through Amazon Web Services, and has never been properly configured. Unnamed instances, absence of details, missing load-balancers: the project was set-up using "duct-tape is fine" and an "if it works, great" attitude; every time something has gone wrong a different party has been brought in to fix it, involving more "duct-tape" fixes.
I need a properly configured, properly labeled platform for the deployment of the application. Just correctly labeled and configured structures to allow for a small amount of traffic and no outtages.
It is not, by any means, a complex job. Lay the foundation, move over the data from the SQL databases, and call it a day.
There are, to be knowledge, 14 virtual servers in the cloud, of which 3 are actually being used. The running servers are either on the 32-bit or 64-bit Amazon Linux AMI (I would like everything upgraded to 64-bit).
Web development project type:
Client side or server side development:
Server Side Development
Specific programming languages desired:
Desired website or component functionality:
Functional connection between the client-side and the server-side; particularly with fluid and fast access to the existing databases.
Any questions, feel free to ask.
