Authorize.net CIM Integration with Wordpress/Amember Site.
Main Site: http://newgradnursehelp.com
Wordpress frontend, Amember backend.
Job: Integrate Authorize.net CIM with my site, purchase/configure site to have HTTPS to allow configuration.
I have been using Paypal, but I wanted to use Authorize.net because it plays nicely with Amember, and is cheaper than paypal for my purposes.
I don't have a programming background so I am fumbling through the whole process.
These are the instructions I am working with from Amember:
The biggest advantage of this plugin is that altough credit card info
is entered on your website, it will be stored on Auth.Net secure servers
so recurring billing is secure and you do not have to store cc info on your
You need to enable CIM service in authorize.net
(Tools -> Customer Information Manager -> Sign Up Now)
This is a paid service.
1. Enable and configure plugin in aMember CP -> Setup -> Plugins
2. You NEED to use external cron with this plugins
(See Setup/Configuration -> Advanced
I have set up an external cron job, and haven't received any errors yet so I think that I set it up correctly...When I went to set up the Authorize.NET it suggested seeking out a developer for the integration. Which is how I got to your page.
Secondarily, amember instructions say:
"Use Hosted Version (recommended)
this option allows you to display credit card input right on your website
(as a popup) and in the same time it does not require PCI DSS compliance
Maxmind verification will not work if enable this option
This option requires https on your site"
I currently do not have https on my site, and don't really know how to get it....I am using MaxCDN for my content, and I saw that they have a way to get HTTPS but I have no idea how to go about configuring it, and once I get it, what settings I will have to redo on my website.
So in summary, I basically want Authorize.NET CIM integration without breaking my site.
Let me know your best estimate on the work involved with that. Thanks!
