Analytical Consulting [for Michael O.]
The client's name is ZyDoc. I do general management consulting for them. Here is ZyDoc's business model: Their service is taking audio dictation from physicians and returning to physicians a typed version of that dictation. The typed transcript is often inserted into the physician's electronic health records system. Revenues are billed on a per-line basis (per line of typing). Work is performed in two components: typing and editing. Only a fraction of work is edited. Typing is completed either by third-party offshore vendors at low rates or by on-shore independent contractors (individuals). All typing is paid for at a per-line rate. Editing is completed either by onshore independent contractors (on a per line rate) or by onshore employees (at an hourly rate).
ZyDoc has $1.3M in revenue, 10M in annual lines of transcription, and about 5 vendors who do the vast majority of the typing work.
To start, I will give you projects, and I will also begin copying you on a few emails (please send your email address) so that you can get up to speed on a few things. You can check these emails as infrequently as once per day, and you should bill for the time you spend reading them.
You will be doing Excel analysis and will be designing reports. Once you design a report, it will be created on an on-going basis by Satish Phalke, an India-based analyst who I have engaged through elance.
I will also assign one or more elance projects to you. For that, I will need an email address that you have not yet associated with an elance account.
Below are your first projects:
(PROJECT 0) Send me one email address where I can CC you on emails. Send me a second email address that I can use to create a sub-account for you on the zoboy account. This must not be an email address already associated with an elance account.
(PROJECT 1) NDA. Sign the attached NDA.
(PROJECT 2) Employees in India. See the attached "Project 2" document. It references the other attachments. As soon as you get a handle for this project, tell me by when you expect you'd be able to finish this project.
