Autodesk Inventor Product Models / Drawings
I am looking for a long term contractor for ongoing Inventor/CAD work.
I have a library of Inventor files for our product line. I am looking for a provider who can take over the current drawings and be capable of modifying them when modifications/versioning is required as well as creating new product drawings as needed. All new drawings must keep the same title block and general overall look as the current drawings in the library. I don't want to be able to tell the difference between the existing drawings and new drawings.
I am looking for a provider that has a good materials, fasteners, welding, machining and overall design knowledge and can help detect issues with new designs as well as take existing designs and scale parts to new sizes to create new products. For example, we sell a 5" pipe bollard with a ground sleeve that has a hinge top cover plate on it (see attached files 35500.pdf & 94500.pdf). I would want the provider to be able to create drawings for a 3", 4", 6" and 8" pipe version of the same product scaling the designed parts to work with the new pipe size. I will provide all part names, descriptions, model numbers and materials to be used. Please be able to correctly show and notate welds in drawings. These models must be good enough to render from.
The following must be provided for each product: Fabrication drawings to build product from in PDF format (see 35500.pdf); Marketing drawings in PDF format (see MCSW-SS3-U.pdf) with exports of those marketing drawings to .dwg and .dxf formats; an Adobe 3D pdf of the product (see 3D, MCSW-SS3-U.pdf); and models exported to .SAT format for my rendering contractor to use (see MFR-RS1-N.sat). I will also periodically need my engineering drawings redone from my engineer into our format and on our title block (see HD&HDH ASTM Install.pdf). You can see many more examples of the work on our website at http://www.maxiforcebollards.com/documents. I will also expect the entire library of Inventory files to be kept organized on our corporate FTP site so I can access 100% of the work at any time.
I need a source I can trust to do work without much of my feedback and very few revisions. I want drawings done right the first time. Excellent communication is a MUST! Please be able to speak clear English. I need someone who has regular and sometimes quick availability as we sometimes have custom requests that are on a tight deadline (1-2 days).
!!!WHAT YOU NEED TO BID ON FOR THIS PROJECT!!!: In order for me to understand if the provider I select is going to be a good long term partner I need an initial project completed. Please bid on creating an HD base set of fabrication drawings for a 6" schedule 40 pipe bollard to fit in. The design is to be scaled from the 5" base we already produce. This product can be seen in the attached file 93500.pdf. I would also then like to see a marketing drawing of the new product to match the 5" marketing drawing seen in the attached file MRHP-RS2-HD5.pdf. Once selected with an NDA in place, I will provide 100% of the current Inventor files I have for the 5" unit for you to use to create the 6" unit.
This project is for me to evaluate the quality of work, timeliness of work and communication of the provider. If I am not happy with this project, I will re-award this contract to another bidder until I find a provider I am happy with. I am very flexible and easy to work with but I do expect excellent results. This job is posted as a fixed price job for the small bit of work to be done for the evaluation but I anticipate moving to an hourly rate after this project so PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR HOURLY RATE WITH YOUR BID.
I am posting this job for 30 days but as soon as I find a source I am comfortable with I will be awarding this job. I have lots of work piled up and will begin to look at additional new product development in the near future.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
