CentOS Server (Production Environment) - Configure Postfix & Install Syslog
We have a server that is managing our production websites, and would like to hire a system admin to make some small adjustments (outlined below). Minimal downtime (if any) is necessary, and our email delivery service (Postfix) must be working at the end of the job.
Detailed reports of what was done, along with changed files are requested at the completion of the job.
Tasks to be done...:
- Configure Postfix (or aliases, if needed) to stop emailing root@<our-domain.com>, and actually send the system emails to another email address of ours. I have attempted to do this with aliases, and the forwarder file, to no avail. Perhaps because I'm using an external relay (Mailjet), there is a different way.
- Install syslog and configure it appropriately so that all of our logs are rotated properly.
- Evaluate our CSF / LFD configuration, and apply tweaks (or make recommendations) as needed. At the very least, I've tweaked CSF's configuration in the past to tone down the number of emails that it sends out of the box.
- Install APC, and configure to be on for only ONE domain (we have Nginx, and PHP-FPM, so this must be accounted for)
- Install NGX Pagespeed
As I typically request people to do so, please mention in your response that you've read over the project's requirements, and fully understand them. Responses that do not include this will not be considered.
Looking forward to working with you.
