Do Simple Video Editing in Adobe Creative Suite
We do video interviews with business executives. We use only one camera for our interviews and typically only show the person being interviewed. Our interviews are typically one hour long.
We are looking for someone to make simple edits to 30 one-hour interviews we have recorded on video camera. To qualify for this project, you need to own and have knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro and After Effects).
Type of editing needed:
Length, format and file size of video:
The raw footage is about one hour per interview. We'll upload the original AVCHD files to our YouTube account. The files are typically a few GB in size, and you would need to download them from YouTube in order to edit them.
Other elements added to video:
You will need to add an intro and outro and other ready-to-use elements to the video. We will provide all elements to you. You will not need to create any elements from scratch.
Level of rigor required for edit:
The editing needed is fairly basic. It is essentially two types of tasks:
1) You will need to assemble the video by taking the raw footage, adding an intro and outro, and adding a lower-third name of the person in the video. You will also need to cut out the silence at the beginning and end of the raw footage.
2) You will need to create about 5-10 short videos from each one-hour long video. You will do this simply by listening to the questions in each video interview and then cutting every answer provided by the person being interviewed into a separate short video (if an answer is less than 2:30 minutes long, move on to the next answer; however, if there are not 5 answers longer than 2:30 minutes, also include shorter answers to make sure you have at least 5 short videos for each interview).
In summary, you will take each one-hour interview video and assemble it by adding elements such as an intro and outro. You will typically not need to edit the original video itself, except to cut some unused space at the beginning and end of each recording.
You will also need to create about 5-10 short videos from each one-hour video by cutting the answers provided by the person being interviewed into separate short videos.
You will upload the 1 long video and the 5-10 short videos to our YouTube account.
This project involves doing the above for 30 videos, each of which is about 1 hour long. As a result, you will be working with about 30 hours of footage in total.
