I started using macros when Lotus 123 and Quattro were popular and nowadays I enjoy using MS Excel as well as Word, Powerpoint and Access. I have basic VBA knowledge, which is the macro programming language Microsoft uses in its Office applications. I have used this knowledge to develop some basic and time saving macros for my previous employers. I have a financial/accounting background having been articled to, and worked for, a top 5 accounting/audit firm for about 13 years. I have also worked for a major South African hotel chain for about 4 years, and a bank for 7 years. During my banking experience I used Excel, Access and SQL to help in analyzing data for migration to a new banking system. I enjoy working on computers and readily look for solutions to problems where there are none that are obvious.
