Most folks send me their bank statement with copies of checks. I enter them into QuickBooks according to the notes written in their check memos and deposit slips, then I send my clients monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements that they can take to their local financial or tax planner to make end-of-year purchase decisions. Besides QuickBooks, I also prepare taxes and quarterly payroll reports. I really enjoy digging through records to find and correct payroll mistakes with all the lovely federal forms that are required to accompany them.
