The desire to expand and encounter new challenges in a different, and less limited, market is what caused me to open a Carmen Steffens Franchise (shoes, bags and accessories), which I owned and managed for a little over a year. Both businesses were sold after my decision to move back to the United States in 2010. In 2006, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in History from UNIMONTES, in Brazil. I chose to major in History because, even though English teaching had been my career, I had always had a true love for History and thought it would be a great compliment to my teaching.
