Fiction story writer
I am a University of Texas alumnus with an emphasis on history. My professional background is diverse and includes Oil & Gas Research, B2B Sales, Online Marketing, Career Consulting, Debt Resolution Consulting, Recruiting, Restaurant Management, and Construction Project Management. My free time is used reading, both fiction and non-fiction, or using any available resources to learn more about topics of interest. I have a knack for Spanish, which made it possible to receive credit-by-exam for all 4 years of my university language requirement. My mother was an English teacher for over 20 years so grammar and spelling are second nature. My father, much like myself, is a jack-of-all-trades. He has taught me about academic dedication, logical reasoning, and the art of consultative persuasion. I surround myself with people from all walks of life and strive to be as well-rounded as possible. I pride myself on being able to teach myself that which I don't yet know.
I'm an expert "translator" of ideas into words that your audience will understand and connect with. Whether a tech idea, a business proposal, an important presentation, or a work of fiction, I will work with you to communicate your ideas in ways that will have your audience nodding along.
I can whip up pretty much anything that requires a fair amount of research, or creativity; profile reviewing, copywriting, fiction shorts, non-fiction accounts, articles, top lists, you name it. I also dabbled in Japanese before and still working on it full speed ahead. As you can probably tell by now, I sprinkle quite some personality into the way I write so if that's what you're looking for, I'm your lassie!
I have a BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I have dabbled in a wide range of jobs and activities and consider myself to be a well rounded individual. I am passionate and have the desire to learn new things every day. I am currently working on starting my own blog/photography website about yoga, travel, love, and food; as well as a hand-made jewelry shop. I love to read and write, and have experience editing college level research articles, fiction/nonfiction works, and resume/cover letters. I am great with social media, marketing, and research. I am available for work both online and in person.
I possess an M.A. in English and have over ten years experience working with students at community colleges and universities and have published both fiction and nonfiction works. I currently write education articles for ehow.com and would like to branch out.
Hi everyone, My name is Tom Hinton and I'm an author, born and raised in the UK (though I usually write in US English). I have a background in social media, and that's generally the content of my nonfiction work (though I happily take on other subjects ;). I have really enjoyed the editing side of things as well, proofreading and copy-editing several of my friends' works. To add on to this, I've recently moved into the fiction realm and am having a lot of fun making up stories. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions; I'm always happy to answer any queries. Regards, - Tom
