I am a graduate student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), enrolled in the Teaching of Writing program (basically Rhetoric and Composition with classes on teaching pedagogy). I received my B.A in English and Literature from SIUE with a minor in Computer Science. I look forward to combining my talents in written communication with my interests in computers and technology.
Former US Marine, Trained as a Network Security Specialist after moving from PC Helpdesk to OPS for Windows server/Active Directory issues then onto Cisco routers, firewalls, IDS systems, and switches. After the Marines worked for a public software company as a Network Security Engineer managing connections between over 800 servers on 3 networks including the Bellsouth eCenter in Miami. I am not a complete expert in any one area, however I am highly versed in many areas enough to where I can fix the problem or issue 99% of the time. Also, if I can't fix a problem I will never ask for a dime. If you are paying to have a problem resolved it should not cost you to have somebody that can't fix it. Like I said in my tag line. I am not trying to make a living off of this. I am doing this because I love this type of work. I hope we can get together.
