I'm interested in getting some part-time work editing, transcribing and trying my hand at writing. I've done transcription work for Speechink, both verbatim and non-verbatim. I did quite well and reached 99% accuracy. Editing is something I've never done professionally, although I've done some editing for peers in college and regularly edit my fiance's outgoing email. I feel confident in my editing ability, and find myself naturally correcting content as I read it, as well as people as they speak. Recently, I've been thinking about giving writing a try, mostly short articles, content, and perhaps some creative. Sometimes I read online articles and I think to myself, "What the heck? I could do a much better job writing this." I guarantee to give it my all when it comes to completing quality work for a client. I take pride in doing a job right, and I can be quite self-critical if I feel I could do better, so I really strive to do the best that I possibly can.
