My interest in writing started at the age of 9 when my class was required to free write a children's book. I thought I had no idea what I was doing, but then I got recognized by the principal for the most inspiring story. As I got older, I began writing a lot of poetry based on my struggles. I'd also practice writing both fiction and non-fiction. I also took a journalism class. I have always been told that I have a gift in writing, but the last time I've heard it was my last year in high school when I was sent into a small room to test what my future holds. Once I was given boring pictures (ex: hot air balloon), my free writing began. That was when I was told I was the second student in history to have such a talent in writing with a great imagination.

I have a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas (currently working on a B.S. in Accounting) and have been writing fictional stories and poems since I was a child. I've mastered my writing skills throughout high school and college, helping others with: resumes, articles, ads, fictional and non-fictional stories. I've written for the school newspaper and have won awards for poetry submissions; I have a knack for bringing characters realistically to life and helping a poor writer to turn out A+ papers. While I am new to writing professionally, I pour my soul into everything I do and will work efficiently to produce something you too can be proud of. Working as an administrative assistant is something I've done while in school and have managed calendars, schedules, and other data-entry lists in Excel; business e-mail through Outlook as well as yahoo and other sites; Researching credible online sources for usable information; and of course, editing it all.

My name is Omozusi Margaret Williams. Amongst many things, I'm a singer, lyricist and an editor. Like a pen, I can describe myself in three ways; self motivated, target oriented, and a team player. A pen, once pressed on paper releases ink making it useful effortlessly. Meaning, I don't need to be pushed around or supervised to get a job done. Second, a pen is aimed at creating images most times in form of writing, thus making it target oriented. This also is my trait. I focus on achieving goals giving it all I've got. Lastly, the only limit of the pen is its greatest strength. The pen needs to be handled for its effectiveness to be achieved as it cannot pick itself up. The popular saying that "no man is an island" comes into play here thus, making me a team player. Like everyone, I achieve more functioning effectively in a group bearing in mind that my team members range from humans to books, computers etc depending on the work at hand.

Greetings! I am a new writer to Elance and am extremely eager to turn out some quick, quality writing for you. I have spent much of my personal writing on novel writing, both in fiction and in humorous nonfiction. Word selection is everything. Ever read something chock full of polysyllabic terms that seems forced or simply killed the flow of a sentence? Would an assailant grab a victim by the neck, or by the throat? The latter conjures up an entirely different image and it is with such language that we must convey imagery to a reader unseen. In the business world, I have helped a number of clients turn simple raise request letters from something that might have been shot down entirely, to cases in which a five or six percent raise was granted. One case even led to a small promotion which included an eleven percent raise! My goal is to keep my number of projects low so that I can devote a greater deal of time and attention to helping you achieve your vision.
I've been a writer and 'artist' since childhood and have always loved to do anything involving a creative touch. Having largely studied the humanities within my A-level academic disciplines (English Literature, Fine Art, History, French, and Religious Studies) and having almost completed my BA Hons degree in English and American Literature, I am now interested in exploring a career path that engages my creative interests. In my free time I love to write creatively and edit writing (of all varieties - academic, journalistic, or creative) but also have real passions for creating artwork, illustrations, and even a fledgling interest in photography. Feel free to get in touch!
Experienced with SEO and traditional print, I have published articles in Endocrine News magazine and Suite101.com. Brevity is my strong suit. With an easy-to-read style, I have reported on the latest in medical science, film, law, architecture and astrophysics. A light touch means good prose. Emulating the best humorists of America, I also published two humor books through Amazon's KDP service. See my resume and samples at https://sites.google.com/site/dtkcopywriting/

I've been published once in a free quarterly newsletter by Canine Adventure. I have competed and completed NaNoWriMo three years in a row. (National Novel Writing Month, goal is 50,000 of an original piece in 30 days.) Firm grasp on dialogue and comedic timing, also capable of a more down to earth voice. Highly flexible and versatile. I am an aspiring fiction writer, with a half dozen published stories. I also have a novel in the final editing phase. I am interested in providing short stories for electronic magazines, possible ghost writing or collaboration work, even advertisement or proofreading/editing. I look forward to building a positive relationship with a few key individuals and organizations to our mutual benefit. My work is 100 % original. It has been featured in Separate Worlds electronic magazine, as well as on the Anytime-Shorts.com website. My background is primarily in fantasy fiction, but I am flexible in both genre and content.
A little about me: 1. I have passionately written, creatively as a hobby, and academically, for most of my 28 years. I have written everything from essays and editorials, to technical documents, to stageplays, poetry, satire, and works of fiction. 2. I am a nine year veteran of the US Navy. I'm an adventurer. I've traveled all over the world and I crave contact with new cultures. My real-world experience and deference for foreign lands uniquely suits me to travel writing. 3. Stylistically, I prefer to utilize dry wit. A good writer is like a good doctor, only you don't need insurance to bother one. Writers can cure all sorts of ailments and maladies through sheer mental trickery. Sadness can become joy, can become sadness again. Doubt replaced with confidence, ignorance supplanted by knowledge and understanding. Lies crushed by truth, and vise versa. I am willing to apply my passion for diction, wit, and critical thought, to your project, at a fair price.

I have been writing since I was a child. It is my favorite thing to do, besides eat carbohydrates. I have written professionally as a Marketing Assistant, a Paralegal and a Breast Cancer Advocate. I have written several short stories, newsletters and have an off the wall blog, all which display my honest style of writing and ability to connect with my audience. (http://chkinpotpie.tumblr.com/) I am also in the process of writing my first fiction novel, titled "Chicken Pot Pie & The Riviera". It is about a woman's journey from a high end trailer park in Kentucky to a tent perched on the side of a mountain in the French Riviera, during which she discovers what is truly important in life. Duck Dynasty. No, the Pythagorean theorem. Okay, really. What's truly important is that you hire me. You need to hire me because I will write exactly what you need in a timely manner. Also because I am a nice person. Finally because I am very famous, in the Netherlands. Thank you.

Since graduating from Columbia University in 2006, I've worked in editorial positions at several magazines. Though I left the publishing industry to focus on writing a novel, I currently do freelance editing work and academic tutoring to support myself, and as such, I have maintained a keen eye for annotating. My primary area of expertise is editing, and I have experience with diverse types of copy, including fiction, non-fiction, business proposals, resumes, cover letters, college essays, and general application essays. I do copyediting (grammar, punctuation) as well as more general editing (style, tone, word choice, streamlining). I'm able to discern the intent behind a piece of writing and help it achieve the message or story that's being expressed. I can write copy for businesses and websites depending on the needs of the project. Additionally, I have experience in screenwriting and am proficient in editing scripts for both language and story.
