I have access to an online directory. I need to capture company name, postal address, and the names, titles, and email addresses of all contacts (duplicating company name and postal information for each, so each has its own separate line).
Each company is on a separate web page, but all contact details are together at the top of the page....

“This job ended up being not quite as big as anticipated, but the freelancer did a great job. It was done exactly to the brief, and they even added a couple of columns to provide additional insight on the data. The most stunning this is that they did a great job with an amazing turnaround - well before the anticipated finish date. Very satisfied and would not hesitate to use them again.”
Building and placing website sidebars, as per correspondence on first Elance job.
“This is the freelancer's third job for me and, as with the other two, his work and work ethic was exceptional. There were a few lingering issues with the website that had been left undone by the previous developer, which the supplier sorted out. Because of the large number of plugins on this comprehensive site, dealing with and fixing the various conflicts that arose after fixing the initial issue was a real challenge, but he rose to it. I would not hesitate to recommend this provider to anyone requiring a new site or alterations to an existing site.”
My website has been redeveloped in Wordpress. After many issues and delays, I am now looking for a developer to finish the site.
The outstanding issues are a mix of technical and styling, with an emphasis on styling. The designer who has overseen the look of the site and my rebranding will be involved in the specific CSS changes.
“I had a big problem: A mostly done website with a litany of formatting and technical issues that had gone unaddressed by an unresponsive developer. This freelancer proved to be the perfect solution, ending many months of inactivity and frustration. In the space of two weeks, he's got my website looking gorgeous and behaving better than I could have hoped. And as we prep the site to go live, he's continuing to support and provide assistance when required. Picking up someone else's work can't be easy, but this freelancer made it look easy. He was even reasonably patient when both me and the graphic designer involved had four-day Easter holidays, slowing down progress. I highly recommend this freelancer. He's undaunted by complicated problems and is responsive and professional to a fault. I'm sure I'll need a hot-shot Wordpress guy in future, and I'll hire him again in a flash.”
“This wasn't a big job, but it needed to be absolutely perfect. Giorgos ensured that the job was exactly to spec, on time, and even suggested some improvements to the brief. I'm delighted both with the job and the ease of working with this provider. This is the second time I've hired them and, without a doubt, I will work with them again. ”
“Thank you Kim, it was a pleasure working with you!”
“I am so happy I chose this contractor. The price was more than fair and the work done was outstanding. Giorgos was very responsive and it was completed much faster, and with much less back and forth and clarifying, than I think I have ever experienced with an Elance tech contractor. The reviews are true. These guys are the bomb. I'm hiring them again straightaway for another little job.”
“A great client! Great communication and fast payment upon completion of each milestone. Thanks for an enjoyable project, and we look forward to working with you again!”
I am publishing a book. As with my previous books, this one will include a CD-ROM with tools and templates. Different from previous books, it will also be available as an ebook, so I need a secure way to get the zip file to people who have genuinely purchased the ebook.

I have a number of free downloads on my website, but often want to provide secure (password-protected) downloads to clients and event attendees. At the moment, I am using MediaFire to secure those downloads, but it's just not professional enough. I have a Windows cloud server and would like to reconfigure the domain I use to host my downlo...

Someone is republishing my copyright blog without permission for the second time. I have found out about it and am issuing a DMCA take down with the host. The problem is that the guy is doing the same thing to 168 other blogs. I want to let them all know and encourage them to issue take down orders, as well.
I have a four-page, A4 PDF brochure that I am using for my workshops. It has been built using InDesign and I have the source files.
The brochure was developed using a template I use for a different business service (webinars). It works, but it looks a little utilitarian. It is also not that easily distinguishable from the brochures used o...
A domain owner is posting my copyright blog on his site without permission. I am taking legal remedy, but want to ensure all of the other people whose blogs he's republishing without permission are also aware, so they can take action.
I have now done a reverse WhoIs lookup, and it looks as if he has approximately 70 other websites. I need...
“I have worked with this provider on a couple of jobs, now, and he has done a great job. This one turned out to be more of a challenge than either of us anticipated, but it all got there in the end. Mesa really went above and beyond the call of duty and that was much appreciated. Highly recommended.”
I am creating a series of marketing webinars that will be offered pay-per-view (they are currently offered only live).
The webinars have been developed on PPT with voiceovers added to each slide. There are also animations/builds on all slides. There are 2-3 areas within each webinar where there is an embedded 1-2 minute video of my talkin...
“This provider did a great job of converting the presentations, including a lot of tweaking of settings and such so they were just right. Unfortunately, we had to put the rest of the project on temporary hold due to issues on my side, but when I'm ready to go again, I will go straight back to this provider for a direct hire. Highly recommended.”
We are migrating our websites from one server to another. One of the websites runs a smallish MySQL database. We need to find the MySQL Connection String on the site, so it can be redirected to work on the new server.
The server admin people have tried to find this information, but are not experts on MySQL and were not successful.
Job details are only viewable by client and freelancer.
“The book artwork provided looks great. Very happy with it. There was a very small delay, due to a technical issue. I was very impressed with the degree of communication and the provider even offered to find an internet cafe to get the materials to me. My deadline was flexible, though, so it wasn't an issue at all. Highly recommended and I'm sure I will hire him again!”
I want to move my email system - sending newsletters, press releases, and announcements - from the CMS suite that currently generates them. That suite is being phased out and replaced with a DotNetNuke CMS and emailing will not be a factor.
The CMS suite I am currently using has a number of deficiencies. I can't filter the lists, bounces ...
We have a full set of drawings for our house and want to do a small attic extension. The draftsperson who did the drawings is no longer in business, so the drawings will need to be converted to CAD and the extension added, for Council approval.
We have a two story home, with the second story built under the original roofline. ...
“This is the first time we have used a draftsperson on Elance and the experience with Sarah was outstanding! The files she provided were of terrific quality and she was very open to making alterations - our original plans had some issues we found during the process and she fixed them perfectly. My husband is a builder and agrees that the plans are top notch and has recommended Sarah to his clients and project managers. You will not be disappointed if you work with this provider!”

“What a great client- easy to communicate with, clear despite some necessary changes to the project, and very pleasant to work with. ”
I have an industry database of approximately 37,000 people, including emails and mailing addresses. There were a number of recent additions and the mailing list needs a big clean-up. Another provider was doing the cleanup, but has had a family emergency and can't finish.
Duplicate emails have already been cleaned off the list ...
“When hiring, I was impressed with her detail orientation and reviews. The result, however, was unacceptable. Every change was logged, which was not expected or desired, but an enormous amount of straightforward changes were missed. Out of 37,000 lines of data to check - only a fraction of which required updating - close to 3000 lines of data requiring obvious edits were missed. This kind of work does require a particular mindset. It was clear upon seeing the work submitted that this provider was not the right choice. I hired another provider outside of Elance to start the project again from scratch. They completed the project to my total satisfaction in under 13 hours. The worst part was that the provider blamed the poor quality of work on my brief - same brief given to the second provider - and complained that it was impossible to do the job in the time budgeted, which was clearly not the case. It wasn't a good fit and I wish I knew earlier so we could have cancelled the job.”
“A Nightmare Project from a Nightmare Buyer. The actual no. of records plus the extent of database work involved was only disclosed by Kim after I unsuspectingly signed up for the job. Although gravely misled, I remained polite, committed and did not question the unrealistic / unachievable targets set by the Buyer. Not to mention Kim¿s deliberate intention to take advantage of a trusting provider by paying as little as possible for the quickest turnaround then expect highest quality work as well. Then, Kim demanded Daily Work Updates, which were provided instantly. Kim also tried to get me to report to her on the phone - at my expense, of course. All up, 25 lengthy messages generated over a 7 day/night period (late/wee hours)----additional hours at no cost to Kim. Unfortunately, I cannot control what a Buyer does to the finished product (changes, manipulating, editing, etc). Then she got frustrated and blamed it all on me well after the project was completed. I offered to do MORE FREE HOURS to fix it up for her ¿ which she rejected. When Kim wrote about the previous provider who initially started to work on this project and pulled out shortly thereafter----I should have followed my instinct! Fact is, halfway through the project, I sought advice from Elance on how to deal with Kim. This was all documented and on file with Elance. Kim is a very nervous and controlling Buyer. Providers ¿ please note - this is a real lesson on handling a very difficult Buyer---someone like Kim.”

“Kimsr is a Buyer who has a strong sense of entitlement to exploit unsuspecting and trusting Providers. A Lesson Learned is a Lesson Earned!”
“I have had a couple of not great experiences with graphic designers on Elance, so it was with a bit of reticence that I posted this project. I shouldn't have been nervous, as Mesa did an extraordinarily good job. He was quick, responsive, and created exactly the artwork I had envisioned. I look forward to working with him again and recommend him unreservedly. ”
