“We are disappointed with contractor. He doesn't seem to care.
We have given ample chances to contractor and this is the last straw. Here is the chronology of events:
a. Mar 28 - awarded project to contractor b. Apr 1 - keywords reports received. Contractor sent us a report with analysis our competitor's website instead of ours! It's just like a consultant telling CocaCola how they should improve Pepsi! The response from Contractor was: "it is JUST a reporting error." It is NOT JUST a reporting error to us. It's a total lack of focus and quality. Contractor wrote back to ask for second chance and said he will call us if we gave our number. We did. But he did not call us to explain this HUGE blunder. If you have just made the biggest blunder and you wish to ask for a second chance, any person would do everything to salvage the situation. No phone call. Despite all these, we still decided to proceed with the project. c. Apr 3 - we had to ask contractor to give us the correct keywords report. d. Apr 4 - we asked for list of events / scheduled activities. e. Apr 5 - Contractor sent us in email. We had expected a REPORT. not an email. Nevertheless, we continued to work with contractor. e. Apr 9 - we chased for status report. f. Apr 9 - contract replied us with another email asking us why we are targeting Singapore. This is our answer: We have stated that we wanted to target google.com. When we ask for status report, we mean status report. We do not expect to see a question. If you wanted to clarify this, you should have done so! Apr 5- Apr 9 is 4 days long. Again this demonstrates lack of understanding of our project. To make matters worse, there is a typo error. Again it shows lack to concern. It is gym finder and not gym funder.
The entire episode has been a joke. We held on to the promise of working with the "best". Which is why we repeatedly gave chances after chances. Unfortunately for us, it's a loss of 12 otherwise productive days. Our patience has run out. ”
“I am very disappointed by this feedback as the project was mutually agreed upon to be cancelled. Client has only paid me $30 for this project. Client states that he was sent analysis of the site of his competitor, competition analysis is crucial for SEO as the main goal is to out rank the competition. The report was really meant to be an analysis of the site of COMPETITOR, but a small typo changed the entire meaning of the file and client deemed it to be the analysis of HIS site. Anyone would surely understand that it was just a misunderstanding from the end of client and a minor reporting error from ours, but client went on to call it a blunder. Client was then sent the keyword analysis of his site on which he agreed and permitted me to proceed with it. As far as calling the client is concerned I did try to get a hold of him multiple times, but client was simply unavailable.
Furthermore the email sent to client on 9th of April was only to clarify and bring it to the understanding of client that the contact us information on his site states Singapore while he wishes to target US. It is very crucial to clarify such issues and address them before further progress is made. This is a standard procedure, but instead of understanding what was being communicated, client jumped to conclusions and filed a cancellation, which was then mutually agreed upon.
SEO is not at all a one way streak and requires thorough collaboration from the end of client in order to yield the required results and unfortunately working with a client who has no notion of being collaborative or understanding gets too difficult.
I did pour in my sincere efforts in this project alike all the projects I am working on and only if client would have been understanding enough I would surely delivered the required results like I do for all my clients as you can see most of them have given me nothing less than a 5.0 feedback.”
