We need a form that will collect and validate a user's email address, then immediately send them a download link via email using MailChimp Automation. Behind the scenes, the form also needs to communicate with MailChimp to add them to the appropriate group, and update a 'subscribed on' variable with the current date.
Our photo editing app has an issue where photos originally shot in Burst Mode (iPhone 5s) do not get saved back to the Camera Roll when editing is complete. Normal images do not have this problem.

“Ultimately, I should have demanded the ability to review the work before paying. Freelancer performed 30 hours of work on the project (the max I had approved) and didn't give me specifics on what was accomplished in that time. Freelancer refused to push the work to our repository until payment was collected. By the time I paid, reviewed the work, and determined that it was NOT at all useful or on-spec, the timeframe for getting a refund through Elance had expired.
Freelancer stated before being awarded the job that he was familiar with Mercurial, but once the project began, it was clear that he had only passing knowledge of Hg. I had to invest more of my time to babysit him through cloning a repo, and ultimately, only one changeset was committed for 30 hours of work.
Freelancer spent 30 hours "fixing bugs" on a project that had only one bug when he began work (the bug I hired him to fix). The "bugs" he spent 30 hours fixing actually amounted to re-arranging our Xcode project to bring a few small libraries into the project (they were previously, by design, held in separate repos). Had he been specific in his communication, this could have been avoided. Of course, had I been a more active manager, this also wouldn't have been a problem, but I didn't expect to have to babysit this project when the job was small and well-defined.
In the end, I paid approximately $900 for the pleasure of having somebody move some libraries to a place they were not designed to be. Freelancer didn't even BEGIN to address the original issue that was in the project spec. Worse yet, I spent hours and hours trying to figure out what the heck he had done with his time, and then how to get my money back. It cost me both money and time.
I've learned lessons via this about what NOT to do with freelancers, but ultimately, I'm laying the blame square on this freelancer for being borderline incompetent, and for spending 30 hours doing something that was of NO value at all to me.”
“I have worked on his project very hardly and honestly. So he asked me finish his project in short time. So I tried but he did not reply for about 1 month. So I paused my work and waited his reply. After 1 month, he asked to refund his full money. I think he did not need this project any more. so he ignore my work and is going to reave my money. I am very professional and honest freelancer. as everyone can see, my all clients are satisfied with my work. Please do not ignore this feedback. he is very bad client, he suggest please do not work with hime.
We would like to make additional filters available for our popular iPhone photo app as in-app purchases. The filters themselves can be (mostly) handled by our in-house team. What we need from a freelancer is:
- integration with Apple's in-app purchase system
- creation of a sheet in the app to display items for purchase
- additional logic in our...
“Though there were some issues with the timezone and communication, and though I had to uncover a couple bugs myself (leading to a few bugfix cycles), the freelancer ultimately finished the work for us, and was proactive about checking in.”
We use Mercurial (hg) for our source control, and our repo server is hosted on a Mac server (OSX 10.9). I would like to setup a continuous integration (CI) environment in our workflow, so that changesets pushed to the repo automatically trigger a build.
When a changeset is pushed to the repo, an email should be sent to our engineering mailing lis...
Our Mac Mini in the office (running 10.9.1 with Server installed) is refusing to backup to our 1st generation Time Capsule. It's connected via ethernet. The system WAS working at some point, but after a HDD crash, a subsequent system restore, and an OS upgrade, the two devices have decided to stop talking to one another. Time Machine backups hav...
We would like to have a customer support representative personally follow up with customers that have placed an order with us. To facilitate that, we need a webpage that displays a list of the orders we've received in reverse-chronological order. Each order should have a checkbox that, when checked, marks it as replied, and removes it from the li...
“Work was of exceptional quality, done quickly. Communication was excellent, and the project was exactly in line with the approved budget. Best experience I've had with a freelancer yet, and I would definitely hire again.”
We'd like to use PayFlow integration with PayPal to process our online transactions at [obscured] /store, however the default plugin in our version of Interspire for handling PayFlow appears to be broken. On our end, the system appears to configure correctly, but PayPal isn't receiving properly configured requests on their end. Vendor support fr...
“To work for this client was very comfortable. He demonstrated knowledge of the platform that manages, understanding of the needed research and the circumstances surrounding the situation. Absolutely recommended from all points of view. I hope to be his programmer again soon.”
We have 4 different servers, and each one needs to have its essential data backed up on a daily basis. This is currently handled by a mishmash of shell scripts running on our Mac OSX server in our office, running nightly via cron. The biggest failing of this system is that failure is not readily evident. Some scripts output a pretty verbose log,...
