Hiring an experienced NodeJS developer to assist with very simple changes to an ongoing project. Details will be discussed during interview. Looking for someone who can work quickly and effienctly. Most of the code has already been written by myself.
We're looking for a Web Developer.
“I'm beyond upset with this freelancer. He's actually a pretty nice guy, but very dishonest and doesn't actually get work done. Endless excuses (almost like he's using an excuse generating app) and took my money without doing the project. Wasted a month of our project deadline just stringing us along.
After disputing, he issued a refund knowing he was in the wrong, but never actually returned the money. I gave him months to do so, but still never did. Promising he was working on it, I wasted another couple months waiting.
Several months later, after I realizing he was not going to be getting the money back, I gave him a make-up project/weekend hack to attempt make up for it. Not something I should have done, but felt bad and wanted to give him one last chance to make up for what he had done wrong. He agreed and was excited to do so but unfortunately took advantage of that as well, played endless games, and never delivered.
Even being beyond clear with this developer doesn't seem to get the point through. By the end, I realized it was all one large game trying to push off the required months for me to leave feedback until it was too late to do so. He's fairly responsive which is surprising for someone who doesn't actually do work. I have yet to see a single line of real code from this developer.
I wish him the best of luck and hope he can get his act together. ”
