If you look at this flash game here:
You can basically see the game right now in your browser.
This flash game was converted to a regular Objective-C iPhone game, running at iPhone 4 retina resolution: 960 x 640 - landscape. The person who wrote the iPhone conversion licenses the game for sale o...
“I would not do business with this person again. They had 7 days to do the job, and they completed it in one day - that would have been great, if it had been completely finished and quality work.
He was to do a conversion to iPad of an iPhone game. But the game did not work as the iPhone version did. The background moved slowly. The character in the game didn't jump high enough, such that the game was basically unplayable. And the collision detection hadn't been modified to take into account the larger area of the iPad game.
I got to looking at his source code - and in about an hour I had fixed the oversights. Now would he have fixed the problems on his own? I don't know, but he tried to get paid before even allowing me to examine the game..
Initially he sent me a movie clip and asked for payment - without sending the code to play.
I would not do business with this fellow again, because it is not OK when using an escrow service for someone to ask for payment without sending the deliverables. He did send the deliverables after I demanded them.
It is also just incomprehensible someone stops just before the finish line and says they are done. I'm a programmer - I finished the work, but yeah - he made that necessary with this level of 'quality' commitment.
He lobbied very hard to get 5 stars - frankly that post sale discussion wasn't appreciated. I'm leaving 3 stars because this is simply not example of top level work that would warrant 5 stars.
Also communication was difficult, which sometimes happens when there is a language barrier - to me, its doubly difficult when someone combines poor english with an assertive style.
3 stars - I got the code, he wrote it. 3 stars is average - it wasn't worse than average - but that's the best I'm going to say.
Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld - back in the 1800's did some artwork.
I want you to use his artwork as a guide - but make it cartoony and modern and less detailed. Use gradients, use splines - and give me high rez work 2048 x 2048 or larger (keeping the original aspect ratio, though).
And you know you can take some liberties with the face of Noah...
“Illustrating the Bible! Great Project.
Friendly client who requested a Manga style approach to these 7 illustrations instead of my usual realistic style. I enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone.
Looking forward to future projects.”
