“Very professional and easy to work with. I look forward to working with you again soon!”
“Not sure why this client opted to give me such a low rating on scheduling or anything less than five stars, quite frankly. The initial zip file of materials I was given contained images that were irrelevant to the project. It wasn't until I began hard editing the copy that I could have known this, and I asked for a few more days to work with on my first draft once I did. The client accepted. This was the only instance when I did not deliver on time and I can prove this.
The client stated that she was "impressed" with the quality of my work. I had to extract low-res images from a pdf and then place them in an InDesign file that was originally intended for print. The quality, obviously, would not have been as up to par using anything less than 300dpi, and they mentioned that the images were not that great; sorry, but not my fault. The .indd template that was sent over in the original zip file also left much to be desired, but I used my design knowledge (I currently work in publishing) to spruce it up and made any desired changes that were asked of me immediately; I went above and beyond. I even turned tweaks around well past midnight, which I can also prove.
Likewise, there were tasks added to this project that were not in the job description. Yet I worked through them patiently and efficiently, delivering a high quality product in the end. I'm happy to show a before and after for any new client that may be hesitant about working with me due to this low rating.
Sadly, I thought I could establish a potential long-term business relationship with this client based on our conversations throughout this project. I do, however, feel a bit blindsided by this 4.3 rating. If it were accurate, I would have no issue with it. But it isn't. Unfortunate.”
