“We rarely leave negative feedback but this provider went from good to unusable. The job was CMS for windows (php), the development reiterations went fine, the mock up was very good. Then they send the final pages, no instructions or steps to install or setup. They offer to do remote desktop, but only during their work hours ( 10pm to 6am our time). We again ask for written instruction and they give us linux commands (chmod, yum install). Obviously, they developed on Linux and have no idea getting their system to work on Windows (stated in the job description). We keep asking for installation steps for windows, they send generic php on windows reference.
Finally, as the chance to leave feedback coming to a close, they keep promising to get back to us after this or that holiday ,etc. Today is the last day to leave feedback and we still have no instructions installing their CMS system on Windows.
The system might be good, but is not installed or running for us. We are now off to hire a US based windows PHP provider to see if they can salvage anything from this project.
“We have worked with multiple clients who became permanent after first project. This is our first negative review inspite of completing whole project successfully. We have worked on all the features discussed in the scope of work. We have created design and cut Html with Bootstrap framework. We have designed the SQL DB for CMS and develop all functionalities using Codeigniter for both front end and Admin panel. We have created admin panel where admin can manage Steps in both Languages Spanish and English. We have connected the application with both DB one is application's DB and other is ERP DB. We have also implement swap functionality for tablets. Our QA team have also tested all the functionalities modules before delivering. On completion, we have asked client for the server details to make the application live but client refused to share that as he is having a private network. We have asked him to schedule a teamviewer session so that we can assist him with process of installation. But he was not ready to schedule an appropriate or mutually convenient time for the team viewer session. We have then shared all the instructions with him to let him install the code by his own. But as this is related to making PHP work with MS-SQL so needs some configuration changes on server level environment and can not be communicated in totality through the instruction manual however we tried our best effort to do so in good faith. Also this is server related tasks which was not in scope of work and we were trying to help client but he has provided us negative feedback because he left with one day for the final review which he mentioned in his feedback also. Nevertheless, we take this as a learning experience and wish the client the very best in all his future endeavors. SourceSoft Team!!
