I'm a multidisciplinary graphic designer and web developer with over a decade of experience working in branding, print, UX, and web design. I started my career working in logo design and specialty printing and have spent the past nine years in the publishing industry doing a mix of print and digital design.
As the art and web director for World Literature Today magazine, I managed all aspects of design for the print and online edition of the magazine including cover design, page layout, typesetting, ad design, marketing campaigns, newsletters, and more. I ignited the magazine's online communication strategies and increased website visits by over 33% and expanded the magazine's social media following from 500 to over 450,000 followers.
At WLT I also developed and designed a suite of websites for the organization using Wordpress, Drupal, and Shopify among other content management systems.
I was selected as one of Folio:’s 15 Under 30 in 2012, received the 2018 Waintroob/Meyers Superior Performance Award from the University of Oklahoma, and won a 2019 Creaties Award as the leader of several WordPress web development projects. As part of WLT’s editorial team, my design work for the Summer 2019 Climate Issue was recognized in a 2019 APEX Award for Excellence. For my freelance work for the University of Oklahoma Libraries, my design work received a 2018 Oklahoma Museum Associate Award and a 2017 American Library Association PR XChange Award.
I received a BA in Advertising from the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma with a minor in Italian.
