There are two specific moments from my youth that I remember as defining my career journey: 1. Showing up for career day in the 5th grade dressed in a smock & beret, announcing to my class that "I'm going to be an artist. Maybe a painter. Who knows? But definitely an artist." 2. Being fresh out of high school, listening to the Tom Rivers Morning Show on WQYK in Tampa, and exclaiming to my dashboard radio "THAT'S what I'm going to do for a living!" I'm so proud I didn't let myself down on those promises. I began in radio as an unpaid intern pressing buttons. Over the course of 20+ years, I worked my way up to co-hosting my greatest joy, the "Dave and Veronica Morning Show" on WQYK. Along the way, I accomplished some cool milestones... in 2001, I became the first female to host her own full-time show in over a decade at WQYK, when I was awarded the 7-midnight slot. I also produced talk shows and ran the main network studio soundboard for The Buccaneers Radio Network. I expanded my creativity into television hosting as well, with several part-time opportunities throughout my radio career. I also firmly believe that success doesn't just happen through hard work, but by giving thanks as well. I have been a weekly volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels of Tampa for over 16 years. I also volunteer with my dog, The Bailey Monster, who is a certified therapy dog through Project PUP. (Currently we are on hold due to COVID.) Additionally, I share my talents through public speaking and emceeing for organizations including Ronald McDonald House Charities Tampa Bay, Tampa Fire Rescue, St Jude Children's Research Hospital, and countless others. Currently, I have found a new artistic journey through voice acting. I have a professional studio in my home and enjoy cultivating projects such as commercials, eLearning demos, web videos, etc. My decades in the broadcast industry have helped me develop a talent for storytelling and for delivering warm, believable script delivery. I am also proficient in recording, editing, social media and more.
