I am interested in someone with an advanced skill set developing mobile applications for either Android or iPhone. Applicants must be able to build something that takes advantage of technology similar to that which is used for a digital compass (maybe making use of the Asahi Kasei magnetometer) but instead of pointing to a magnetic North the app would point to a specific location (for example: a neighborhood.) The app would need to point in the direction of the hypothetical neighborhood (compass-like) rather than provide actual directions so that no matter where i was - say in New York City or Miami - the app would be able to point me to my neighborhood as if it were the magnetic North. To do this, I would think that the digital compass would have to be coupled with the use of GPS so that my location and the location of the neighborhood could be identified before it was applied relative to the digital compass. I would also want the app to be able to sync timezones and to alert/alarm...
