My company need a low cost system to log the water level in canals and rivers. This instrument should be "expendable", so the cost of the components + battery + assembly should be lower than 100EUR. The instruments should be "compact" meaning that all the components and the battery should fit in one box with maximum dimension of some 20cm. The instrument is supposed to be installed outdoor, so the housing should be at least IP54 (can eventually be silicone sealed). The instrument should measure the water level by an ultrasonic sensor each hour. It should be battery operated with at least 60 days autonomy (the longer, the better). The data should be stored locally on an SD-card and sent each day to a remote server using a GPRS connection (FTP or email). TECH SPECS Water level ultrasonic logger and GPRS transmitter Accuracy of the measure: +/- 1cm Distance of the water level from the sensor (measurement range): 30cm/3m Autonomy: 60 days Housing max dimension: 20cm Max cost of the instrument: 100EUR Data stored on an SD-card (date, time and level) Data sent daily by email or uploaded on an FTP server.
