I am applying for an apartment and they require not only a notarized letter from me confirming that me and my wife wont be living there (its a single occupancy unit) but also that same exact letter from an attorney.
Me and my wife are currently separated and have not yet finalized a divorce. This is all that the letter needs to say.

I am currently applying for a single occupancy studio in NYC and they are requiring proof that I wont be living there with my wife (which I wont).
This is what they are asking for:
"What we will need is a letter for your attorney, on the firmís letterhead. It should also be signed by the attorney and have contact information just in case the city needs to verify. The City does not need the filling or case number. The letter can have the same language as the original one you sent stating that you are in process of finalizing a divorce."
