aXcelerate Training Management System axcelerate.com.au currently has a web-based page-related Help system. We also have a paper-based aXcelerate User Guide which has been created in MS Word and then converted to .pdf. We do not have a knowledge base to support our customers although our existing web-based Help system does have an index/search feature to bring up relevant page hits for the relevant topic.
Limitations of existing Help system:
1. Any changes to the online Help system do not get reflected in the printable User Guide;
2. The existing Help system is not used much as it is 'not in the user's face' - we need a Help search field on the main user navigation page
3. We don't have an easy way for client support personnel to add new questions and answers or support text
4. We don't have any tags or key words that we can attach to Help content to aid the search process
